July 22 Perhaps you have heard the old saying, "Spare the rod and spoil the child." When I was young, I heard that many times, especially when the 'bamboo stick' was applied to my back side. It may have seemed a hopeless project to my parents, but they haven't lived long enough to see the end result. These is also a proverb that says, "Teach a child to choose the right path and when he is older, he will remain upon it." Today we witness parents raising their offspring to have no direction or path. We want them to be our friend. Instead of teaching, we play, as we also have no path! Thank GOD that there had been times of learning, even when it was hard to teach and times of applying the 'bamboo stick' to 'knock some sense into me'. It may have not produced instant results, but today I am better for it. Raise a child in the right path, the future will thank you. GOD bless you.
July 21 My sister was recently allowed to return home after being evacuated by one of Colorados largest fires to date. They returned to a standing house that hardly retained any smell of smoke! And if the electric power had not been interrupted would have had no loss at all. While the fires had destroyed many around them they were spared! Just like GOD had delivered the three from the blazing furnace, we witness GOD'S miracles again and again. "For the ANGELS are SPIRIT messengers sent out to help and care for those who are to receive his salvation." She said that in all the sorrow that she felt guilty of happiness, yet many will perish and only a few will receive eternal joy! The wonders of the Living GOD will never cease. The joy of escaping the pits of hell are everlasting. The torment, never ceasing! Thank GOD for the signs that prove, to those who believe, HIS mighty and everlasting POWER. As nothing and as worthless as we remain, HE loves us. Do not allow your heart to be hardened by the ways and talk of the world. May GOD become your LORD. GOD bless you.
July 20 The last time I sent a message this early my cousin responded with, 'it isn't even time to milk the cows yet'. It is going to be a busy day today, so I had to get an early start. But I am unwilling to not read GOD'S WORDS or pass along HIS message, so I am sorry for the early ringing of your phone. It has been said that 'early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise', so in our wisdom, let us understand the proverb that states, "The hope of good men is eternal happiness, the hope of evil men are all in vain." We can put our trust in anything other than GOD, but it will all be useless, of no lasting value! When we take our last breath and we meet the MAKER of LIFE and have to explain why we did it our way, let our answer not be of no value. "For when an evil man dies, his hopes all perish, for they are based upon this earthly life." Use the wisdom of this day to know the path forward and walk that direction. May GOD be with you and bless you. May the promise of HEAVENLY values enrich this day as we walk toward those gates to eternal life.
July 19 It has become the norm for people to stay home or do recreational things on Sunday instead of going to Church. We can worship GOD just as much at home they would say. But, for the most part they forget or become consumed with worldly matters. Unable to spend even an hour out of a week to PRAISE GOD? It is important to be within a group of others to sing praises and listen to GOD. "But the HOLY SPIRIT tells us clearly that in the last times, some in the church will turn away from CHRIST and become eager followers of teachers with devil inspired ideas." Is that happening today? And yes, there are places that we need to avoid, but we need to find a home with those that carry GOD'S WORD to the community. Alone we become indifferent to our spiritual need that can only be satisfied with a group. Go to CHURCH today and GOD will bless you.
July 18 There are many things that I like in this life, but few arise to the paramount stirring of the spirit that comes from 2 Timothy 3! Those words describe the world that we live in today and with each reading we are closer and closer to fulfilling those words to the letter! The whole BIBLE was given to us from GOD to teach us what is TRUE and make us realize what is wrong in our lives and helps us do what is right. For there has come that time when people will not listen to the truth, they will not listen to what the BIBLE says and will follow their own misguided ideas. We are at that point when we must ask ourselves, how much longer will GOD tolerate our sin against ourselves and HIM? Do listen to the SPIRIT that calls to you from CHRIST'S BLOOD and come home before the doors of HEAVEN are flung open and the emanate return of CHRIST is begun. May your spirit be with the LORD now and forever. GOD bless you.
July 17 Last night we went to the car races at the Bloomfield fair. It was refreshing to see the schedule run so smoothly and quickly. It really upsets me to have to wait while they drive around to line up or have 3 cars run 8 laps and 1 breaks down on the first lap! GOD'S KINGDOM is not run in a half-shod manner. There is a time and place for everything and that preparation is begun in this life. We are to be preparing for the kingdom to come and not trying to prepare our own kingdom. The things of this earth will all pass away, but HIS KINGDOM is ETERNAL. May we each be in preparation for the day of CHRIST'S return and not running our lives in a hap hazard manner, looking as if we are consumed in chaos. May GOD bless you as we make our plans for ETERNITY. CHRIST died for ALL yet many will not receive HIM. Look forward to the day of HIS return and not be ashamed of your performance here. July 16 Here we are today, thinking, wondering, what will happen next? Our lives are in worry over health, wealth and security. We enjoy the best that the world has to offer and worry about tomorrow. In all the chaos that stirs around us, one thing remains, one thing that we often fail to recognize, CHRIST JESUS came into this world to save sinners! GOD had mercy on us and sent HIS SON as an example to show us how patient he is, with even the worst of sinners. HE is patient with me and you, waiting for each of us, so we too can have everlasting life with HIM, when we choose to follow. Many have deliberately done what they know is wrong and do not reconcile themselves back to HIM. It is not surprising to see that they lost FAITH and defy GOD, thus turning themselves over to hell and taking those they love with them! Those who TRUST GOD must keep the doorway open to ALL that would choose to accept the WORD of GOD, it is the DUTY of those that TRUST in the LORD. For we to are sinners that are saved by the GRACE of GOD.
July 15 Fires burn all around us, yet we are safe. Destruction surrounds us, but we are saved. The winds of terror blow in our direction, but are diverted away. Our bodies fail, yet HE uplifts the Spirit. GOD moves in many ways that we cannot understand, ways that we may never know. How HE protects us, how HE saves us, how HE shows us HIS mighty power. Yet far too often we may believe in 'LUCK'. It is not luck that delivers our soul from hell, it is the power of CHRIST'S BLOOD, the love that GOD has for us! Today, when something good comes upon you, THANK GOD, for HE alone is in charge. We can lose everything in this world and still retain the riches of HEAVEN. GOD bless you.
July 14 How my heart rejoices when reading HIS WORD, how thankful I am that HE has allowed my soul the salvation that HE alone can offer. The world today reals in its willingness to disobey. It attempts to elect those that deliberately do bad. They flaunt their sin before GOD as if HE was blind and deaf. But even man can see the wrong in the actions, even the blind witness the wrong. Do we think we can hide from GOD those things we have done, or are doing? The generation that turns to GOD is truly blessed, for it is their hearts that are open despite what is around them. May we be a guide through the darkness and not a stumbling block. May our light shine as if refreshed with new batteries. Let our lives grow within HIS LAW and COMMAND, keeping the temptations of satan's tricks far from us. Our spirits should soar with the expectation of HIS return and the conformation of HIS ability to judge. May GOD'S richest blessing be with you as we battle the unseen enemy today. We fight to save those we love and those who are entangled with satan's web. We are not alone! GOD bless you.
July 13 As I was reading this morning, I came across words that I must have overlooked before or they stood out more today than the many times I read them before. They are what we may take for granted when we come to GOD or they may be what the world overlooks in the coming days ahead. A verse in Psalms 86 simply states, "You have rescued me from deepest hell." When we receive SALVATION we can be thrilled about the road ahead, but NEVER forget what we have been rescued from. We are pulled from deepest hell. Saved by the GRACE of God, by FAITH! Saved from what we deserve and our just reward. To be with CHRIST for ETERNITY is GLORIOUS, but just imagine from what we have been saved from! Think today what 'could have been' and thank GOD for the salvation that HE alone has provided. Or consider the path of torment awaiting, because we have failed to have FAITH in HIM. Our choice! Our destination.
July 12 The electric company had cut all the trees and brush under their electric lines this spring and the brush has responded by growing like crazy. Yesterday I thought that I had better spray along my fence line before it became a part of the growing brambles. So, after spraying with tick repellant I entered the mass of thriving brush with the spray in hand. There were several places that the brush had already taken over and some that were open. But the amazing part was that I had no ticks on me when I finished! A little preparation produced wonderful results. Just as in our lives, we must prepare for the ravenous works of satan and for CHRIST'S return with FAITH and PRAYER. Without our FAITH, the weeds and brush of this world take over with a strangle hold on us. The insects that torture and pest us, run rampant all around, take the time to apply the WORD of GOD, be vigilant at obeying HIM and keep the fences in good order, that separate good an evil. Apply the power of PRAYER before entering the hostile areas of today's world. GOD bless you.
July 11 In 2018 as I was fringe cutting for wildlife habitat, a tree fell from behind me and I was standing in the V of its branches! Only inches from death or severe injury on three sides! I remember at that point, facing GOD and asking what HE wanted me to do. Since that day, over 8 years ago, these messages have been sent every day to those that I love so dearly. And they in turn forward to those whose souls they love. The movement has grown and grown, thanks to my sister that so many of you know. It is GOD'S love that has healed the ill, cared for the forgotten and loves the lost. Not of our works that we may boast, but of the GLORY of GOD! We are but a small part of HIS great plan! Our wish is that you may know the salvation plan that has been opened for us all at the CROSS and move our hearts and minds toward that redeeming cross and away from the worldly matters that attempt to control us. It remains GOD'S plan that ALL may be saved. As GOD'S work continues, may you join us in reaching toward those you care for that they may reach for the hand of GOD, grasping with the tightness of eternal life. May the names written in the BOOK of LIFE grow with your help. GOD bless each of you, my dear friends in CHRIST our LORD. Each day we see the battle of evil vs good; it is but by the GRACE of GOD that we will continue into the future, when HIS return and judgement ends time as we understand it now, and opens ETERNITY.
July 10 Once again nature has obeyed GOD, showing us humans our responsibilities. As the corn receives its crown of glory, tassels, within hours begins to regenerate by producing silk, spreading GOD'S word, that in turn forms the ear of corn, the growing church. That ear has many kernels, that may in turn, replicate the process multiplying into bushels of yield. Man, however turns away from GOD'S plan, makes his own agenda and spends his time seeking pleasure, the good things of this world. "But all these things that I once thought very worthwhile, now I have thrown them all away so that I can put my trust and hope in CHRIST alone. Yes, everything else is worthless when compared to the priceless gain of knowing CHRIST JESUS our LORD." We have much to learn from nature. GOD bless you.
July 9 Sometimes the pressures of life come to try and overcome us. We look ahead and see gloom and despair. We try to prepare for our loved ones and ourselves with 'life insurance' to live into the future. A future that is as uncertain as the wind. It is in time of blessing or in time of hunger or fear that we must, "Think about all you can praise GOD for and be glad about." Even though we try to make our own way, GOD has a plan. When we attempt to do our own thing, GOD can intervene and cause havoc and pain. Yet we become mad, curse the ground we walk on and continue to try and march toward our own goal. How does our goal align with GOD'S? Life ends for each of us. In 100 years, who will remember our name? We are but dust, unless we are in alignment with the task that has been set before us. There is only one kingdom that will remain forever. Will you be among its residents? Life may be short and full of trials but true riches belong to GOD. GOD bless you.
July 8 I watched an animated movie that is called David. And it followed the life of king David from youth until he became king after Sauls death. It followed the Bible reasonably close and when it was a bit off course I likened it to my life. My life was written by GOD, it was laid out to be perfect in every way. But I was the one that rewrote the script and changed the scenes. I was responsible for not following the lines. As I look back over the frames of life, I can see the poor choices and bad acting. It has been a poor debut to a life that had begun with such wonder. I can only trust GOD that the ending is better than the middle. The scene of our lives is projected vividly to the world; our review is by the producer of all life. May we each be worthy of the final cut and not be throw out as trash. May GOD'S grace and blessings be upon all that love the LORD. GOD bless you.
July 7 While reading this morning, I read the words from Ephesians how wide, deep, high and everlasting that GOD'S love for us is. It reminded me of that song we may all have sung at one time in our youth. We cannot go over, under or around GOD'S love for us. We cannot escape HIM or hide where HE cannot find us. There is no separating GOD from us, we alone separate ourselves from HIM! At the time of judgment those who have chosen to divide themselves from GOD will receive their reward of total separation. It will be hell! And will last eternally. Accept the full wonder of HIS love now and forever. While we can see the GLORY of GOD around us every day, we can also witness the pains of hell and the confusion that it is contained there. Rely on the arms of FAITH that will remain so wide, so high, so strong, things that this world may not understand, but remain true forever. GOD bless you.
July 6 What kind of father would not lay down their life for their children? We say that we love them, then lead them into the direct direction of hell! If we would lay our lives down for them or at least say that we would, shouldn't we be happy to live our lives for them? Instead of showing the pathways to hell we should be living the life of eternity! Proving to them the pathway to HEAVEN that is established by the BLOOD of GOD'S SON. We can either live for them or let them pass into eternal death because we did not love them as we should. It is our life that is the turning point for others. Show what love truly is. May GOD bless you.
July 5 When JESUS was praying in the garden, he was not asking merely to be relieved of the burden of death, HE was begging GOD, HIS FATHER, with such intensity that HE sweat drops of blood. Yet, HIS FATHER said no. GOD said no, I will not relieve you of the torture and death ahead. I LOVE the WORLD too much, to even spare you, my BELOVED SON. "For GOD so loved the world that HE GAVE HIS only begotten SON, that whosoever would believe on HIM would not perish, but have ever lasting life." That love is not meant to be one way but to be passed on from one generation to the next. We have no right to be loved so much by GOD, yet in our sin HE loves us. Isn't it time we change our lives and honor that sacrifice? "The wicked shall be sent away to hell, this is the fate of ALL the nations forgetting the LORD." May the love that GOD showed us be, present in our life. GOD bless you.
JULY 4 Nature has not failed GOD again this year. And again, has surpassed the expectations that man has put upon it. Even after such a late planting the Iowa corn is once again bearing the crown of a tassel by the 4th of July, surpassing the old proverb, 'knee high by the 4th of July'. It would appear that on the nations 250th year that man alone has become the sole failure to receive GOD completely and growing in FAITH. With such disrespect toward the CREATOR, how can AMERICA 250 years of our nation survive? With the enemy at each corner and battles within, the only salvation remains in GOD. On this day of celebration, we must look at the FAITH of the men that formed a nation and return to their footsteps. Formed as 'one nation under GOD', we have strayed away and in doing so, have replaced FAITH with pride and self. Without GOD we are doomed toward failure. All the great nations in history have failed when they turn away from GOD, are we any different? Look toward even a plant to witness the GLORY of GOD.
July 3 I have heard it said that if you listen you could hear the corn grow. I must really be hard of hearing because in these last few days the growing sounds should be deafening! With the hot weather and humidity, the 2 staple crops in Iowa have grown so miraculously. It is remarkable to watch nature do exactly what GOD made it to do. In all its growth it multiplies well beyond measure! As a friend pointed out, all nature does what GOD has made it to do, only man has been given 'free will and the ability of choice.' As I look around, I see a world that is making unwise choices to serve GOD. Our nature seems to be disobedience and to do what we are NOT to do. From the moment Eve handed Adam the fruit and disobedience began we have continued to hide from GOD, even in our 'garden of Eden'. Our mission is to do as GOD made us to do and we add 'should you choose to accept it'! We are not on a Mission Impossible; we just need to TRUST the MASTER to make everything possible. "If GOD were to withdraw HIS SPIRIT, all life would disappear and mankind would turn again to dust." All GLORY to GOD through all the ages of eternity. GOD bless you.
July 2 I do not know about where you live, but here in Iowa it is hot. And as people we talk about the weather. I have heard people say, '"it's hotter than hell," but let me respond that it is NOT! We have claimed that a little discomfort is equal to what is awaiting those who fail to believe GOD'S WORD and act according to it commands. The truth is that there is no comparison of a hot day in Iowa to equal the tortures awaiting in hell! "For what hope has the godless when GOD cuts him off and takes away his life? Will GOD listen to his cry when trouble comes upon him? For HE does not delight himself in the ALMIGHTY or pay any attention to GOD except in time of crisis." The heat of these days would be a pleasant relief to a moment of hell! Unbelief will surely open the doors of that bottomless pit where only despair and torture await. The only escape is through JESUS CHRIST our REDEEMER. Enjoy the temporary warmth of today, GROW in the LORD as the Iowa corn does in this weather, as there remains no comparison to hell.
