  February 21 CHRIST JESUS came into the world to save sinners and we have all sinned. GOD had mercy on us, so that CHRIST could use us as examples, to show everyone how patient HE is with even the worst of us, so that others will realize that they too can have everlasting life. Some have disobeyed their conscience and deliberately done what they know is wrong. It isn't surprising that they soon lost any faith in CHRIST. But GOD is on one side and all people are on the other and CHRIST is between, trying to bring us together,  by giving HIS life for us all. So, when arguments stir up that can harm instead of helping people accept GOD'S plan of faith, we need to be doubly sure that we are not harming any of GOD'S children. For we each have strengths and weaknesses that should confide with CHRIST and left silent to man. May GOD bless each of us with HIS spirit of love and faith. 

February 20 There have been some really close basketball games lately, both men's and women's teams are having the madness of March in their minds. Teams are working hard to make themselves ready for the competition ahead. They are training to be ready, following the basics and running the plays over and over so that they are second nature. We fail all too often to prepare for the challenges ahead of ourselves. We sit back and expect someone else to do the part that we are assigned to do. The whole concept of team work has been forgotten!  We say or think, let the pastor do it,  that's his job! We have forgotten that GOD has drafted us to fill that position and if we do not perform, we will be benched!  We are all part of a team and we are playing on the team of our choice, either GOD'S or satan's. Our performance will determine who will win. Look at the score board, it is leaning away from GOD. We need to be at practice more often, as the 'game' has already begun and we are each an intricate part of the team. May GOD bless you.

February 19 As I was getting food from the freezer, I saw our humming bird feeders on the shelve above. How is it, I wondered, that birds know when to fly south or north?  "The stork knows the time of migration, as do the dove, crane and swallow. They return at GOD'S appointed time each year."  But mankind seems to fight against and does not accept GOD'S laws. We are always fighting to have shelter, working to have food and wanting for water.  While we are but animals, created just as the birds and animals, from dust, why have we not followed GOD and been so beautifully dressed and blessed? It must be our 'superior wisdom' that has brought us to the heights of having to suffer to survive! From the time of Adams sin we have separated ourselves from GOD in an endless battle to live as we want to. How different it would be to just trust GOD as All Nature does, but they are not who is in sin, they do not need forgiveness! Become closer to the Creator. GOD bless you.

February 18 We speak into existence so many things, things that we have forgotten to pay attention. We may say that we are going to do this or that and we do it. We may say that there is no way and then a way never appears! A man tells a cancer victim that the cancer will go away and when it does, we acclaim the medical procedures. What we say becomes reality and too often we never see it or thank GOD for the outcome. Put it to the test. When you're having a bad day, thank GOD that it will be better and watch what happens. "Our daily lives should not embarrass GOD, but bring JOY to HIM who invited us into HIS KINGDOM to share HIS GLORY."  Let GOD'S GLORY be on our lips, HIS song in our hearts, HIS TRUTH in our minds. Our very salvation must be spread by our voices. The power of our mouth is too often forgotten. GOD bless you.

February 17 Years ago, I wrote a note to the employees of SVC that said. Shawn Benge thinks I am crazy! The reason for that statement was that we had been working on a machine for hours and when it was repaired, I began to thank GOD. It is a longer story as we had removed the hydraulic pump many times before the wisdom of GOD became clear. But in that moment, the verse became clear that says. "In whatever you do or say, let it be as a representative of the LORD JESUS and come with HIM into the presence of GOD the FATHER to give HIM your thanks."  Shouldn't we be doing that every day? Shouldn't our heart ring with thanks and song, just as we breathe?  It remains our choice to praise or curse the name of our creator. Choose wisely, eternity is in the balance of our thoughts. GOD bless you.

 February 16 Nothing new under the sun, we have all heard that saying. As I look back, I can see the value in that old saying. To many times we pass over what can heal or make us stronger, encourage our faith or help us encourage others. We lose any thought of history's value because it hasn't happened for a long time or perhaps only once before in history. Like the king that was going to die and no doctor could heal his ailment. Yet GOD reveals through HIS prophet that a salve made of figs, when applied to the kings' boils, cured him. Today we would never think of such a thing. We are often too reliant on medical knowledge and forget to rely on GOD. This one act in history was not to be forgotten, as we can each gather knowledge from the past to help us today and into the future. How crazy we may say, yet we never know unless we try and with trials, we use FAITH! There is nothing new under the sun?   GOD bless you.

February 15 Have you ever been on a hike in the mountains and taken a trail that leads to a place that you don't know where you are?  You're not exactly lost, but you're not where you thought you would be either. Then as you look around it becomes clearer that it is a place that you don't want to be and as it becomes dark, you just want to get back where you are safe. Our lives follow that same pattern. "We are the ones who strayed away like sheep! We who left GOD'S paths to follow our own."  Once we feel that discomfort of being lost, we are happy to return to the trail that leads back to camp. Work toward the day when we will finally be all that CHRIST saved us for and wants us to be. Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lays ahead. May GOD bless the paths that you take, leaving behind a trail of goodness, love and a faith that conquers all darkness. GOD bless you.

  February 14 An officer in the military is commissioned to do whatever the orders are given to him. He is to do those orders to the best of their ability. As the Marines would say, 'ours is not to reason why, ours is but to do or die.' The LORD, REDEEMER, the MIGHTY ONE has commissioned each of us with a duty to tell others of HIS wonderful plan of SALVATION. Yet, some disregard the order. Some twist the WORD to mean what it is not. Some disregard the order as if it were never given at all. Those who have become traitors will be punished with the fullest extent of the law. Doesn't it also seen right that those disregarding GOD'S command will also be punished? Are you a faithful warrior or have you become a traitor? We are blessed with a commanding officer that forgives those who come and seek forgiveness. However, once we have been found guilty there is no suspended sentence! Follow the commands of the KING,  for HE alone is in command of both heaven and earth. GOD bless you.

 February 13 We have a clock that was given to us long time ago. I believe our parents gave one to each of us. It supposedly runs 31 days each winding and with the adjusting of the pendulum it can be adjusted to keep perfect time. However, ours has taken on this trait of ringing correctly until 5 o'clock and then will ring 1 time short until 1 o'clock and then continues the cycle. I wonder if GOD becomes as exasperated over my actions as I do the clocks? Even when I try as hard as possible to do one thing, I'm sure that I fail others. And doing the right thing 5 out of 12 would hardly be a passing grade! Each day as I notice that old clock making its mistakes, I need to change my pattern of wrong and try to be better. February 3 It is a wonderful thing to be alive! If a person lives to be very old, let them rejoice in every day of life, but let us also remember that eternity is far longer and that everything we do here is futile in comparison. It is wonderful to be young, but you must account to GOD for everything you do. Remember that we can make serious mistakes that can cause the loss of our eternal home in Heaven and result in an eternity in hell. The entire duty of mankind is to fear GOD and obey HIS WORD, because HE will judge us for everything we do, both good and bad, including those things we thought were hidden. Our faith cannot be in ourselves or other men, but in CHRIST who arose from the grave to show us a way to GOD. If we grow old thinking that we can do it ourselves, without the help of our SAVIOUR, we are wrong! Only through JESUS CHRIST is there a way that we may be saved. Ponder these things while you are young. Do not be led to think there is any other way and GOD will do as HE has said! GOD bless you.

February 2 Who knows the future? Who can know what will prove best for the future? Throughout the earth justice is giving way to crime and even the courts are corrupt. In due season GOD will judge everything man does, both good and bad. Nothing GOD does can be added to or taken away from. GOD'S purpose in this, is that man should fear GOD, when he is in sin and not right with GOD. There is indeed a time for everything, but never a time that we can escape HIS sight! We have the opportunity to do good or sin, it is the test of our lives. If left unchecked our eternity is damnation. As we look toward GOD, our lives meet with an assurance of HIS LOVE and GRACE, filled with forgiveness. May the LOVE and FAVOR of the LORD JESUS CHRIST rest upon you.

 d, for the trumpet blast will sound. Those who are destined to GOD receive a new heavenly body, those destined to hell a new body that also will never die but be tortured forever. All happening in that moment! The time for preparation has passed, when the trumpet blasts the lot is cast, there can be no changing what has been chosen. The way out must be planned ahead; there is no last split-second change! When something flies at our eye we blink, yet the twinkle of an eye is much faster and uncontrolled by us as humans. We do not know the day or the hour, but we do know that there will be that moment! Make those life-giving changes ahead of time, for the trumpet can sound at any moment. GOD be with you.

 g item. When the person brought out the order I asked about the item and they knew nothing about it! However, before the order was loaded the manager ran out with the missing item in hand. Now I can see that no matter how pleasant we are, how much we listen and talk nicely, it is our actions that make the difference! LORD, make my actions be as yours, with kindness and speed, convincing the world that we really care and showing the same love that YOU would show. All that was missing was an 86 cent can of beans, yet it took one soul to make it right! What can we do each day that has greater value? GOD bless you.

January 30 Yesterday I had 3 meetings with people, of those 3, 2 asked about the discussion that had taken place the day before! And we talked a bit about it and it was good to know that "Since the LORD is directing our steps, why try to understand everything that happens along the way?"  I was shocked that there was not a rush to be taken from receiving the message and concluded that indeed we are, ALL TOGETHER a part of one body,  the body of CHRIST and each one is a separate but necessary part of it! TOGETHER we are a mighty force that can move mountains and fill valleys, preparing the way for GOD. Separate we can do nothing. It is GOD that does the great works within and around us. Though conflict may arise, GOD is the extinguisher of ALL the conflict. Unity in CHRIST will prevail over darkness. As soldiers in HIS army, we cannot be arguing amongst ourselves, but be equipped with the full amour of GOD that is available to us and fight together.  May GOD bless you.

January 28 "If you're looking for advice, stay away from fools!"  One of the Proverbs that should be more often followed in today's society! I was looking up data on the internet, we used to use an encyclopedia and when I checked out the information that I found, only 50 percent was correct!  That means that half was a lie! How can we believe any of it if only half is the truth? To many are taking what they hear as the 'gospel truth' and not even questioning it! Even the people checked Paul's preaching to the BIBLES facts. How have we become so lazy and believe what itchy ears want to hear? Before we take a stand on what we believe, shouldn't we know what it is? I watch people's minds change back and forth like the ocean tides and it does not show 'wisdom'. If you know the WORD or just beginning to, take the time to check the thought against the TRUTH and stay away from the foolishness! May GOD be with you.

January 27 On the inside I feel 25, from the outside I have become a gray-haired fat man with ailments that dampen the spirit. I want to listen to the younger part, but he often puts pain into the older. The 'happy medium' has become too far separated. "The good shall never lose GOD'S BLESSINGS, but the wicked shall lose everything." So as I try to be good, the evil sometimes takes over and when it does the loss is great! The battles of good vs evil, seem to never end. The wisdom to see the loss comes with age. So, time is not a loss but a gain! The eternal futures vision becomes clearer even as my sight wains. Perhaps that wisdom is worth the physical loss? With the best in the past, the future could look dim, but the contrary is true, for what I can see ahead is worth the temporary troubles. The eternal rest, of youth again taking hold. Not for a moment but for an eternity. Living by GOD'S power and not our own. May GOD bless each with one more day to change one more life. Our world today needs a voice of truth to awaken the spirit of life.

uary 20 The other day, while watching the news, I witnessed what I thought was a third world country having riots! But no, it was in the US! I thought, congratulations, we have joined the likes of a nation that is completely abandoned of GOD! What a sight we must be to the other 'civilized' nations! The reminds of the 70s raced through my head and the turmoil that was encompassed in it. Thank GOD there is more talk about GOD than free love or things of that nature. Man, often takes the path of sin when he has the choice, it takes will power to stand for what is right, there seems to be little of that! Less than .001 percent of the people are involved in these protests. Take away the media and on lookers and only a few remain. Are Christians also only providing 'a show?' We cannot afford to be 'a show', but need to be a faithful follower of the WORD. What do you stand for? Can others see the true version, or just a show? May GOD bless you.

February 10 There are two forces within us 

January 25 "Oh LORD, shouldn't I hate those who hate you? Shouldn't I be grieved by them?"  As I saw yet another 'protest' on tv, I noticed how orderly and respectful the participants were. Walking on the route, talking to each other, smiling, very little coverage by the media.  This was the scene at a walk against abortion. Incomparison, there was 

January 11 Wouldn't you know that one day after I told my wife that "I never get sick", I would come down with a sore throat and a cough! It is plain to see that i am not the one in charge! But I know that this will pass because I have seen the miracles that GOD has provided through answered prayer. As a friend of mine is going to have a liver transplant tomorrow, our community needs to once again enter into the JOY that GOD will provide the way. Stand before the LORD in awe! Put your TRUST in the LORD. HE alone provides, for those who love HIM are filled with GLADNESS. May GOD'S BLESSING be on those who have FAITH. GOD bless you.

January 8 We were recently given a new stove and when we pulled the old one, out of its place there was quite a collection of dirt, lint, and cat toys beneath it. No matter how clean the floor was on the outside underneath was a mess! When I was cleaning it up, I thought how my life was no different! I kept the outside looking clean while under neath it was covered with dirt. It took the BLOOD of CHRIST JESUS to clean the outside and beneath, where things are not seen. And at times I must go back and cleanse to make sure those 'dust bunnies' and old M and M's, are wiped away. I am sure that we all have those places that are filthy and I also know that GOD will clean them. We may need to help keeping those corners clean, but GOD is right here to help us. There is nothing that HE cannot clean or forgive when we ask. May GOD bless you.

January 5 Anyone who has heard the McDonald's jingle knows exactly what is on a big mac sandwich. Anyone who has read the BOOK of Esther knows that the plan of Haman to destroy the Jews failed and what became of Haman and his sons. There are a few things in life that seem to last in our minds for a long time. When we listen to GOD'S WORD it does not leave us, it remains within our mind. Just as many can recite the ingredients on a big mac, we can also remember the miraculous stories we heard in BIBLE school as a youth. GOD'S WORD is eternal. The world makes attempts to erase it from our minds, but given the right spark, the memories return. Plant what is eternal, GODS WORD. 

January 4 I recently heard James Brown, the football announcer say, "Trust GOD to call the plays of your life!"  All too often we let the things around us dictate how we act, what we say and what we do. We over look what GOD is asking us to do. When Ester was asked to act by FAITH and questioned what to do, she was told that "God has brought you into this place for just such a time as this!" At that; she reacted in FAITH. We are no different, we are here for just such a time as this. If we remain silent then GOD will have to raise up another to do our job. In that time it takes the whole society of the faithful could be initiated. Our future looks much the same as it did for Ester, our faithful actions matter. Don't be benched because you are not performing. Run the play that GOD has drawn for your life.  GOD bless you.

Many are thoughtless and whimsical but some are made in all seriousness. However, most are broken. Several years ago; I decided to make sure that one tenth of each day was spent in reading the WORD of GOD. It was an enormous task to undertake for me. It required shutting off any distractions and following through, it was not easy! After a while it became a necessary part of the day, a reason to get up early and spend time in the WORD. There is an hour and a half in the morning and an hour each evening that I look forward to every day. The beginning was not without struggle, the road rocky and difficult, the endless journey well worth the effort. If you have made a 'new year's resolution' stick with it, each day battle through the many reasons to go astray, and soon it will become a way of your new life. Make it worth your while. GOD bless you this entire New Year and give a new desire to follow HIM. Enjoy the life that GOD has GIVEN and PRAISE HIM in all things. GOD bless you.

January 1st As the college football playoffs are underway there is a sobering fact that has become apparent. The teams that were rated high and had a bye are all losing to the lower ranked teams that had to play in the first round! Because one team had been active and the other idol they had lost the competitive edge. We can easily loose our edge when we neglect reading our BIBLES or PRAYING. When we are not active in the WORD we begin to drop behind and if we were to continue that trend satan would have an advantage to our defeat! Stay or become on guard and armed for the daily battles, keep GOD'S WORD active in your life, if we don't we givesatan an advantage.  May GOD bless you.

January 3rd The new year has brought a new excitement to our horizon, but also a heart disturbing reality. As mayors of some of the large cities were sworn in, my heart was broken and disturbed. I can remember a democratic party that was anti-abortion and stood up for what was right! And in the 50 years since that, it has become the driving force of communism in our country. It makes me wonder if we will last another 50 years. GOD has allowed people to once again 'find their own way' and as always mankind turns away from GOD. If 59 percent of the U.S. believes in GOD as the polls say, then we are a no caring batch of 

December 31st HE died to give us life. HE shed HIS BLOOD to allow us to choose the way to live. Yesterday I received a request for prayer for the granddaughter of a dear friend. I asked for prayer from many of my close friends and the response was overwhelming. Today we ask you to pray for healing, just as CHRIST would have us to do, in HIS name. As I lay awake last night thinking of how CHRIST laid down HIS life for mankind, I was humbled with the results of how many would trade our lives for the lost. There is calmness in knowing that there is more than the here and now. That ETERNITY is forever and that this life is so short. Our job is to let others know there is a way to eternal life beyond the grave. Our responsibility is to try and keep people out of hell! A war rages around us in the form of doubt and fear, we must overcome the blockage of this life to open the gates of the next. Through prayer we each can speak to GOD letting HIM know the 

December 29 When we went to Church yesterday it was 43 degrees but after we had returned home the wind began to blow frow the NW and this morning it is windy and 11 degrees ! It makes me excited to see what GOD can do even if I am not excited with the outcome. The same is true in our lives, we experience all the things that happen and often do not see GOD'S hand at work in it. We are too shallow in our thinking; we only see the effects on ourselves! While that change in weather affects us all with cold here, in other parts of the world they receive the opposite. Yet who thanks GOD for any of it? Each day is a gift from GOD, good or as bad as Job experienced. We are tested to remove the impurities from our lives. It remains up to us to use each day to give GOD GLORY.  We may not know why things happen as they do. But we are not the master. There is only one CREATOR! Do you know HIM? May GOD bless you.

December 28 "The worlds sin is unbelief in me; JESUS told his disciples." Today the world remains in unbelief, it is shown by its actions their unbelief and willingness to follow the darkness instead of the LIGHT! Yesterday I received a call from a former coworker and we reencountered our past. To look back makes me wonder how the GRACE of GOD was ever given to such a person that I. But that's the very reason that CHRIST was sent. To redeem a world that was lost in sin. The LORD also left us these words, "Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows, but cheer up, for I have overcome the world."  HE was sent to gather those who would believe unto HIM, to be forgiven we must follow His example and do what the FATHER has made us to do, HIS work and not our own. We can look back on our past and rejoice that our sight has been set on things that are greater than this world. Or we can remain in

 it. Thank GOD there is an alternative to what this world has to offer! GOD bless you.   

December 27 Each time that I read through the books that describe the kings of both Israel and Judah, I am struck by the way the country prospers or declines by their FAITH in GOD! When they follow GOD they prosper, when they turn to idol worship, they are over taken by their enemy's. It doesn't take a long time to turn the tides, only a few years. They never seemed to learn and grasp the idea that GOD is in charge. Today we enjoy modern convenances that they never dreamt of, yet we are following the same old thought processes that they did! We turn toward GOD for a few years and reap a benefit, then turn away and fall again. How long does it take man to understand? Do we ever get it? We exchange GOD'S promises for a moment, just as they did centuries ago, and if our species should last much longer, man will continue to fall from the GRACES of GOD BECAUSE of their FAITH. Help us to accept HIS WORD and live in HIS guidance. May GOD bless you.

We received a new TV and surround sound, and it changes the whole experience to the point that we watch movies that we have already watched because it gives a different feeling. We also shut it off when it's time to read GOD'S WORD, as that gives a better and clearer picture of our future. Our life's experiences are linked to HIS WORD through the BIBLE. Each time we read it we can see and hear, clearer the picture of what is ahead. Can you see what lays ahead in your eternity? The sounds of division rage around us, but can we hear the whisper of GOD through its chaos? There remains an eternal future ahead for us all, can you see your path and destination?
