October 3 While we were in town shopping, we decided to get our flu shot. While the attendant said that we were also due for a pneumonia shot as well and we agreed. It was later in the afternoon that we both acknowledged a dull pain in our shoulders and joints. This morning, I did not go hunting as I feel like I took a ride in the dryer! However, it sure makes me grateful for the health that GOD has provided us through our lives. And I am sure that despite the discomfort that we experience today will be worth it later. GOD remains so good. Despite the discomfort of today, a bright future awaits, both here on earth and for the future. GOD bless those who trust in HIM, the reward awaits those who are faithful through the toils of this life.

October 2 Yesterday morning when I went hunting, I had an awful time getting into a tree. It just wasn't working as planned. Then after finally getting settled in and as my heart was racing and sweat covered like flood waters, I discovered that I had dropped the pull up string with my bow still on the ground, down I went! So, after that I tried to get my gear up and ready, but it was nearly impossible. So, by daylight I was finally all set with my heart racing and covered in sweat! The old saying, 'practice makes perfect' rang in my mind. I know that today will go with less stress and the next even easier. Just as following GOD can be well planned, when put into practice it meets opposition. It takes battling through those trials to reach the comfort zone. Doing something new will be met with opposition, but keep trying, it is worth the work. May GOD bless you. P.S. I did see 4 deer. The end result, well worth the effort.

October 1st What an amazing story! From the creation of the world, then man and the population that was generated, then destroyed because of their sin. Then the world repopulated through Noah and his family. The beginning of the many languages of mankind. The family tree from which the story of a coat of many colors arrived. The story continues to Joseph saving his traitor brothers and a nation from starvation! And that's just the first Book, the book of Genesis! With each reading a new grasp of mankind and our trajectory through history. Today is no different we strive to serve ourselves. The next Book is the Exodus of the Jewish race from slavery. Let's read them together and follow the plight of men and the GLORY of GOD. Let us say, 'I love to hear the story' again. GOD bless you.

September 30 Bow season starts tomorrow.  Sometimes we are so anxious for something to arrive that it seems to never get here. The old saying 'A watched pot never boils' is the result!  We wait for many things and through the years our wants change and our interests give way to other, more important things. Through the years a new horizon has risen. Seasons come and go, but the name of CHRIST goes on forever. The day of HIS return is held with great anticipation, the news is simmering, the day is nearly into a boil. Prepare for that day, rejoice that it is approaching. For HIS return is immanent. "Keep a close watch on all you say and think. Stay true to what is right and GOD will bless you and use you to help others."

September 29 Thank you for being a friend. Those words were once from a tv show, but they should be used more often today in our present world. Each day there are reports of a violent action that some person has committed. They attack those that they feel are their enemy. They would not make an attack on a friend! We need to be as CHRIST and be a friend to those who are outside. Just as CHRIST gave HIS life that all may be saved, we must be willing to give to others. We can still hate the sin, but love the person, and say to them, thank you for being a friend. May GOD bless you.

September 28 Dear friends, our time is approaching without haste that we must become a true believer or parish in our sin. My sister has written a beautiful song that explains how we must fight the chaos that surrounds us. It is by GOD'S WORD that we can defeat the attacks. We are instructed to forgive.  And just as a recent widow forgave her husband's assassin, we must forgive the person, but hate the sin! We can see a world that has been completely fooled and on their way to hell because they say no to the TRUTH. And I was once one. There is hope, there is a way unto GOD, through FAITH. Sin has captured the world, either whole heartedly or by simply halfhearted involvement with CHRIST. Hate the sin, starting within ourselves and connect with GOD. There is a turning point each day, make today the choice to turn away from death. May GOD bless you.

September 28 Yesterday I went to finish setting up a tree stand and gather in the cards from trail cameras. It was a challenging job to get the tree stand set up, as the tree was uncooperative in its shape. However, after a little work it was complete. It was strange to sit in it as I have been using a tree saddle most of the time for several years. Along with the tree saddle I have a jx3 that I have owned for years that is so comfortable I can't stay awake. But after trying it again this year, I have decided to use it more often. These old bones just want to be comfortable! Just like the old body has accepted that we are not immortal and want to be comforted. CHRIST has given us each the opportunity to attach ourselves to HIM through the cross.  Although CHRIST was not at all comfortable as HE hung on that tree, HE has opened the doorway to our salvation. As I hang comfortably from the
 tree this season, I will not forget the way in which our salvation was given. May you too be blessed by HIS endless love. 

September 25 Evil is all around us. Each day we turn on the morning news and witness another act of violence. When will it stop? That very question can be answered in Genesis, where Cain killed Able and Jacob stole Esau's blessing. Unfortunately evil will exist around and even within us as long as there are humans. The serpent tricked Eve and has continually attempted to deceive men throughout history. He is not letting up. It is up to us alone to stop the wily antics of the serpent within ourselves. When we are not following GOD, we are following the serpent. Following the lowest form of existence instead of the CREATOR. The trickery never cease's, it attacks us all. There is only one way to defeat the serpent and that is allowing GOD to help. HE has provided the way out, if we accept it. When you turn on the news and see the darkness, remember that the LIGHT is here, IF WE ASK. GOD bless you.

September 24 I was disappointed that when on my trip I was not able to meet with my friend in Indiana. We correspond often and I always enjoy visiting with them. Also, when my friends from Pa passed through Iowa, we failed to get together.  Our time here on earth is filled with a rushed schedule that often doesn't afford those extra visits. It makes me glad to look forward to our eternal home where we can serve GOD without the time restraints of this world. In our haste to be here or there, we cannot allow ourselves to be distracted from CHRIST'S presence. HIS GLORY is the beauty we witness every day around us. And that is only what is left after it is being destroyed by man. Imagine the garden that HE is preparing for our arrival? Keep close to HIM as we travel, this earth so that we do not become lost. Remain in HIS steadfast care.  GOD bless you.

September 23 I have been blessed with many wonderful things In my lifetime. We have raced cars from our local tracks to the national level. We have built our home and raised our family that remains near by. I get to enjoy hunting some of the best areas in the world. I have worked beside some of the best workers on earth and continue to witness structures that were constructed. I get to enjoy being near my grandchildren and can witness the things they can do and have accomplished. "Yet, as Paul writes, everything is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing CHRIST JESUS my LORD." These great feats on earth are but vanishing smoke in comparison to the eternity ahead. May we all be ready for the day our  earthly time is over and forever begins. May GOD bless you.

September 22 This morning at 5:30 as I was on my walk, I saw this glittering light alongside the road. It was a bit frightening and certainly eerie, as there was cloud cover and no stars or moon to produce light. A bit farther there was another and then another. So now the curiosity took over the fear of it being snakes and I took out my phone and turned on the flashlight option. And there they were, droplets of water, collected in leaves, with just enough light from the town under the cloud cover to produce a sparkle of light! LORD, allow my life to spread that sparkle of YOUR LIGHT in the darkness around me. Allow your BEACON to shine in the total darkness. Let that sparkle multiply in a HOLY WAY, spreading to conquer the fear in the world and bring attention to YOU. May that LIGHT be a blessing and reflect through YOU. GOD bless you.

September 21 Once again I am blessed with my uncle's joke of 'in the big inning' and the very words. In the beginning.  Both make me laugh inside, one because I knew such a great man and the other, because I know such a great GOD! HE formed each of us in HIS image, made like GOD from our very beginning. We have a choice to follow good or bad, it has never been forced upon us. We are able to do what we want and die with those consequences. We know the difference; the judgement will be fair! Created into a walking, thinking individual with feelings, wants, needs and senses all individual in their creation, by God. May we each see that we may have a new beginning in CHRIST with the FAITH within. Growing to be like our MAKER and SAVIOUR and less like the world. Make today a new 'in the beginning' in your life. September 20 As I was reading this morning, I am reminded of this fact, "For we are not fighting against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies, the evil rulers of the unseen world, the mighty satanic beings and great evil princes of darkness who rule this world and against huge numbers of wicked spirits in the spirit world." The person is not our enemy, but the powers that they have given themselves to! How do we fight against such a foe? With the power of GOD'S WORD that cuts between marrow and bone, separating the good from evil. The battle is and will always be between the Light and the darkness, we just need to keep them separated within ourselves. May GOD give you peace, with FAITH in GOD the FATHER and the LORD JESUS CHRIST. May HIS blessing be upon all who SINCERELY love the LORD .

September 19 I need to correct my statement yesterday as my friend notified me it is a kidney transplant, not a liver transplant. Anatomy is not a learning  gift that I was given. But, I do know that the human body is a miracle. How it all works together, in unison, is a statement that there is a GOD and that HE made us in HIS image. Just as the entire universe rotates in the sky's around us without catastrophic disaster, so our body's work with touch, smell, feel, each alerting us to danger. Yet too often we touch that which is hot, amid all the warnings and are burnt! It is said that we learn from experience, shouldn't we all believe in GOD if that were true? We turn away from the light and fall into darkness even when we know better, but GOD has never turned us away, we went willingly. May we each return to GOD our maker. 

September 18 I have a friend that nearly lost his son in a car wreck, had a heart attack in the mountains, had a backhoe bucket fall on his head and is now awaiting a kidney transplant, along with many 'smaller' misfortunes. Through all those trials he will be the first to tell you how great GOD is! Undeterred at the many arrows that have been shot at him, he praises the very name of GOD. I also have a friend that would curse the name of GOD at every problem, none of which amount to a speck of the other friends' trials. It is our own choice, but when we can see the GLORY of the eternal life ahead, these things that trouble us on earth are of little value. Yes, there may be darts or spears thrown at us along the way but our hope is in what will last. I pray that you will understand how incredibly great GOD'S POWER is to help those who believe in HIM! September 17 The BIBLE tells us that 'when we follow our own inclinations our lives will produce these evil results, impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, idolatry, spiritism, hatred and fighting, jealousy and anger, constant effort to get the best for yourself, complaints and criticisms, the feeling that everyone is wrong except those in  your own little group, there will be wrong doctrine, envy, murder, drunkenness and wild parties.' Sounds to me like we have arrived! Those words are exactly this time in the history of man. Only GOD'S WORD can be trusted to guide the human race away from destruction. And that end is also told to us! May you see the truth that has been written and receive the blessing that it holds. Man does not live by bread alone, but by every WORD of GOD.

September 16 Yesterday afternoon receiving news, that Tammy, a friend from Pa, had got an elk while hunting in Colorado.  I received pictures around 6 o'clock, which means that they had completed the chore of carrying out the meat, which had started around 9 or so. Funny how the fun can end so abruptly and the hard work begins. With GOD the hard part is up front, the work of remaining FAITHFUL and true is rewarded with eternal joy. I can definitely relate to both, the work of carrying a load uphill, is in both hunting and life. But the job of sitting at the table with the LORD is our reward ahead. May we each be prepared for our place of rest. GOD bless you.

September 15 After a few adjustments and lengthening every persons draw length and a bit of practice we were ready to go qualify. And as usual they shot there first 3 arrows and didn't need to shoot any more. They did a great job. I am always so glad when they show such proficiency. We strive to do the best with our lives, no one starts out to be the worst person ever. So, what causes us to fall short? We have all fallen short! One is no better than the other, however, GOD has offered a way to become faultless. A free gift, offered to all. We only need to accept it and believe in the ONE that gave HIS SON for our sin. That separates us from death and places life eternal within our soul. If you have not prepared for the test, you will fail. May GOD enrich you with HIS power of salvation through FAITH, it only takes a few adjustments.  GOD bless you.

September 14 "Wherever I look there is oppression and bribery and men who love to argue and to fight. The law is not enforced and there is no justice given in the courts, for the wicked far outnumber the righteous and bribes and trickery prevail." Words that could well be spoken today, yet they were spoken by Habakkuk of the Old Testament many years ago.  And because that generation allowed itself to walk away from GOD and serve other gods, they were conquered by the barbarian men of that time. Does history repeat its self? All we need to do is remove GOD farther from our lives to find out. We can only blame ourselves or change, returning to GOD. May GOD have mercy upon our souls.

September 13 Today I am going to prepare the Amish for bow season and then take whoever can go to the park and qualify. There are usually 3 or 4 that want to hunt the park but I expect more this year. It is such a joy to be a part of watching them advance into the sport. They don't argue or complain and they know their limitations. They work for the good of the whole community and not for self.  Quite unlike the world around us. They are admired for their faith and actions. They wonder of why the 'english' behave as we do. And while many may consider them to be 'different' isn't that exactly what the LORD commands of us? We can see the unity in community when witnessing the Amish, can others see that same service in us? Mr. Graham was right when he said "I could have done so much more". We need to do more each day toward unity. GOD bless you.

September 12 Each day the world turns more desperate in its search for a way. We witness the loss and suffering to find It. But without CHRIST, there is no way, no hope. They can no longer watch those who have peace live while they struggle. They resort to listening to the demons within them, failing to accept the covering of blood that would redeem and instead spill the blood of the innocent. While their hearts are filled with hate and troubles, our souls soar with the knowledge of the truth. The days of persecution are upon us. As satan runs rampant, we can raise our heads toward HEAVEN and say PRAISE GOD our home draws near. Can you thank GOD even when the day goes astray? There is a living GOD, who calls upon your heart to turn to HIM. HE is waiting for you. Allow GOD to bless you.

September 11 "For GOD sometimes uses sorrow in our lives to help us turn away from sin and seek eternal life." As current events rip at our heart, we can see satan at work. To make us afraid and use fear to shut us up and gather under his control. Way too many forget the ultimate fear of eternal death that is awaiting all who fail to BELIEVE. That fear is replaced by the falsehood of satan, just as he manipulates mankind into his false teachings. "We have been injured but kept from death. Our heart aches, but at the same time we have the joy of the LORD. We are poor, but we give rich spiritual gifts to each other. We own nothing and yet we enjoy everything." As satan and the demons are attacking us, remember, fear belongs only to those who do NOT trust the LORD. GOD bless you.

September 10 As the acorns fall and hit our metal roof it sounds like a 22 being fired. And quite often it sounds like a machine gun! The driveway is like walking on marbles and the dinner call of the easy picking of the delicacy is broadcast widely around the area. The deer compete for time in the yard with the dogs and both make the best of their time by either barking or eating. The night is left open for those who want to eat freely through out the yard. GOD has provided a great yield for the deer, a great yield for us to watch and a great yield for the dogs to keep occupied, GOD is so good. Year after year GOD controls the harvest, both crops and human souls, all nature obeys HIM,  only humans reject HIS plan. We seem to want to do the opposite of what HIS plan for us is. When we allow GOD to control our lives, then we will yield fruit like our oak trees. Listen to GOD'S plan and HE will bless you.

September 9 Each day as I send a message, it reaches tens of thousands. But that is not the reason these messages go out, no, I am sending it to you, my dear friend. To let you know that our only power and success comes from GOD. HE is the ONE who has helped us tell others of HIS agreement of SALVATION. We who believe in the birth, life, death and resurrection of the SON of GOD, to provide a way unto life, must not keep silent as wearing a vail over our face. But be mirrors that reflect the GLORY of the LORD. As the greatness of the SPIRIT our LORD and GOD who is within us, to reach out to those near us, our friends, to share the value of CHRIST'S BLOOD. I share with you this opportunity to be forgiven and receive the salvation HE alone can offer. Please, my dear friend, do not allow your life to expire before accepting the GIFT. May GOD bless you.

September 8 As deer season quickly approaches, I check all my gear to make sure that everything is ready and in shape to make it through the season. My bow and arrows, climbing sticks and stands are all set, ready for Mr. Magnificent to walk by. It would be unsportsmanlike like to just grab my bow and go without making sure that I could hit where I needed. Or hunt with a bow that could not hit the target. Our daily lives are no different. We must be prepared for our next season. Checking our lives to make sure we are ready to meet the LORD. Without preparation and steady practice, we may miss the mark. Are you prepared? Are you in tune and equipped with the arrows needed or will you miss the target? Start today, preparing for ETERNITY. GOD bless you.

September 7 "Whoever is wise, let him understand these things. Whoever is intelligent, let him listen. For the paths of the LORD are true and right and good men walk among them. But sinners trying it will fail." Beware those who are twisting the truths of GOD'S WORD to say what it is not! Be confirmed by what is real and despise what is untrue. Satan works his evil into any tiny opening, dividing and separating to destroy. Become a rock that resists what itching ears want to hear. Know that who you are, is all because GOD poured out such kindness and grace upon you. And that HE alone is TRUTH! Compare GOD'S word to that of the 'intelligent' and know truth. GOD bless you.

September 6 Skecher shoe company has been advertising this slip- on series of foot ware. They say you don't have to touch your shoes. I may be old, but touching my shoes would be a good thing and being able to stand up afterward would be an extra bonus!  I would say the best thing would be that you wouldn't have to bend down and tie them! There are many things that 'advertise' in a way that draws people to themselves by using statements that may or may not be true. But GOD'S WORD is true and yet people fail to follow it. "They look everywhere except to HEAVEN, to the MOST HIGH GOD. They are like a crooked bow that always misses targets." Churches are losing people because they are watering down or not teaching THE WORD. They are teaching politics and have side stepped GOD. It is time that we get our 'advertising' into the full description of what our 'product' can deliver. An eternal life with GOD. May GOD bless you.

September 5 "The wicked shall continue in their wickedness and none of them will understand." We stop at a stop signal, yet pass by GOD'S WORD. We yield to traffic and pay no attention to the warning signs the BIBLE shows us. We follow the world too closely and leave little room to avoid the collision that will happen as the world suddenly is stopped. The earthly warning signs take precedence over the HEAVENLY warnings that would protect for ETERNITY. We study to get a driver's license and never open the BOOK of LIFE. Are we that intelligent, that we can ignore the signs? Perhaps we need to look a little farther ahead. GOD bless you.

September 4th   45 degrees with a high of 70, it's getting to be that time of year. It's getting closer to the days I love. Better yet, as we look at the condition of this world, we can see daily the proficiencies that are being fulfilled before our eyes.  I have two tremendous events that are approaching, hunting season and CHRIST'S return. I know the day and the hour of the archery season opener but only GOD knows the day and the hour that HE will return for judgement! Although we do not know the time, we have been given the signs that will proceed that GLORIOUS event. We can align those events and be prepared or stumble afraid unprepared. That choice is yours alone. To ignore the warnings is to result in failure. Two great events to be ready for, ONE OF LUXURY, the other eternal fire. ARE YOU READY? May GOD bless.

September 3 Daniel saw the future when a beast arose, "He will defy the Most High GOD and wear down the saints with persecution and try to change all laws, morals and customs." It appears that those times have been fulfilled in our lifetime. For certainly what is wrong has been made right and right made wrong. But there is an end to all this chaos! The end is the rising of GOD'S people. Returning to rule the government and now is that time. When controlling parties are in confusion, it is time for the rule of GOD to once again take control. We have sat silent to long, we become complacent while allowing satan to run rampant. It is time for believers of JESUS CHRIST to rise up and take charge. CHRIST does not follow the leader; HE is the LEADER!  It is time to allow HIM to once again lead our nation and proudly proclaim, "In GOD we trust."  GOD bless you.

September 2 "Memories, how they linger in your mind." I recall hunting trips, times at work, friends and family, just as if they happened moments ago. Perhaps some will fade into obscurity and be forgotten and others may remain until death. Some I am proud of and some not so much. But, I can't change a thing that has happened, nor would I want to. I often think on those times that have gone by and remember. Those choices cannot not be changed; they are a permanent mark in the story of my life. The Great part is that we can change our paths. We can start fresh, no matter where we are or what we have done, we can be 'born again'. Despite the things we have done, despite the guilty plea we have formerly agreed to, we can be made anew. Those sinful memories may linger in my mind, but upon redemption, GOD has forgotten them forever. I have been washed clean and declared 'NOT QUILTY'. May you TOO accept the Gift, that Christ blood offers. To become a new life, free from all the guilt of our past. Only the memories remain. "Whiter than snow, in GOD'S eyes, because of what CHRIST did for us on the cross." If you believe in your heart that JESUS IS THE SON of GOD there is a new life ahead. GOD bless you.

September 1st My morning walk that is from 5 until 6 is now completely in the dark. No longer can I see snails or earthworms or snakes, if there are any. The temperatures that were over 70 are now near 55 and much more pleasant to be walking in. The change is good in my opinion, but others enjoy the warmer temps. GOD has provided a time for us all and an unpleasant time that we must endure. The bad builds us, the good comforts. We can endure the bad because we KNOW that the good will be coming. Just as we KNOW that GOD has provided us a place of rest after this life. We can prepare ourselves or miss the goal altogether. Good and bad mingle together to test and confirm our FAITH. With each step we build a greater relationship. Walk in GOD'S path and build the confidence to continue, be it hard or dark, light is awaiting those who look for it. GOD'S blessings await those who move in FAITH. GOD bless you.

August 31 It is that time of year when those, who are elk hunters are packing their gear and heading west for the opening day. Those that experience altitude sickness like I do, have already headed out and set up camp to allow time to get well. We plan for everything that we think we may encounter and pack extra, 'just in case'. I certainly will miss being in the elk wilderness, but there are those who will never experience the majesty and greatness of GOD'S creation, like we have. The future requires planning, just like packing for a hunt. Filling our minds with GOD'S WORD to prepare our hearts to be open to HIS SPIRIT. Being prepared for the troubles that we may experience without losing the FAITH that guides our way. We are preparing ourselves for HEAVEN. Packing the necessities to help us survive this world, even throughout the attacks we may have. We each must be ready for HEAVEN, even while experiencing HEAVEN on earth. GOD bless you.

August 30 While the news reports senseless attacks against the Church body and the defiling of GOD'S WORD and degrading of PRAYER. There is a whole new attack against Christianity across the nation. After 'covid' depleted Church attendance, now the enemy attacks again. Is this the persecution of the Church? These attacks coming from those who have lost control of both body and spirit to a power that has fought against GOD from the beginning. Only proving more each day the TRUTH of GOD'S WORD! While we sorrow for the victims of these attacks let us also rejoice that our GOD is in charge and has told of these times long ago. Our current events are aligning with GOD'S WORD and that is a TRUTH to CELEBRATE. Our eternal home becomes clearer with each passing day. FAITH keeps us from the hatred that consumes the world around us. Watch as HIS WORD becomes reality. May GOD bless and protect you from the dangerous forces throughout our land.

August 29 Yesterday I heard a political figure say on tv, 'it does no good to pray.' This was in response to a shooting at a school where young students were killed. How sad we should be, that these people cannot understand that, there are bad people who destroy. Their actions hurt others. This person's words show their lack of care or concern, and faith. Consider Job, who in one day lost all his children, herds, money and his health. Yet did not condemn GOD! Yes, there are men around us that will do awful things, they, with the devil's reign will attack and destroy anything. Without FAITH we are but lost sheep, answering to the call of any power that strikes a chord within us. The ONLY escape is through the BLOOD of CHRIST JESUS. Our conversations with the GOD that created us, is more important than that figure may ever know. We must keep a burning FAITH within us that will 'show the world' how real GOD is. Perhaps that spokesman's prayer is useless, but I have seen lives change, blind see and those nearly dead return to life. People healed from diseases and accidents. PRAYER WORKS! We cannot deny that fact! Do not listen to the words of this world, rely on your heart. GOD bless you.

August 28 I am truly thankful for the opportunity to meet with friends and family, as we did this past week. Some we were unable to meet with but spoke to on the phone. Once again, we are able to share our life's experiences with each other both the good and the bad times.  My wish that I hope to share with each of you is this. "Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person, with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experiences how HIS ways will really satisfy you." May GOD bless you.

August 27 After changing the flat tire on a desolate road in Illinois that was encountered on a 'pee' stop. I drove the little 'donut' to its near death. The sidewall read, inflate to 60 psi and do not exceed 55 mph. We made it to the airport on time, thanks to the 70 to 75 speeds and unloaded. They went through security as I left. The first tire repair place said they could do it tomorrow, hahaha. The next place was a necessity as the tire pressure was now 22 Psi on the little 'donut'! When removing the tire, a wheel stud broke so that needed repair. Then my sister called and told me they were home in Colorado. When finally arriving home, I was still glad for a safe trip. There are so many things that could have gone wrong, but I can stand on these words, 'If GOD is for me, who can be against me?' Danger, trouble and sorrow lurk around every corner, thank GOD, HE protects us. We never know what tomorrow may hold for us, but we can be certain of our ETERNAL outcome. August 26 The final leg towards home reinforced the thought that humans follow the paths laid out before them and few question the way they are going. We lay out our paths on a hand-held device and do what it says. We hand over our destiny to other things. When we notice that it is no longer on the assigned route, we find that it has calculated the feet and inches to our destination and decided for us 'a better way'. Smaller and smaller the road becomes yet we must maintain a fast pace to reach our goal in time. It's too late to turn back now we rationalize.  Most are paying no attention and are led onward by the 'device'. Our road map is the BIBLE, yet it is replaced by these catchy devises that lead us onward to our final destination. There are no short cuts. We arrive where we were led, HEAVEN or hell, by what we follow. Follow the map of life and join in the celebrations of our family, home for ETERNITY. Beware being led down the easy, and quick path. August 25 Today we are making the last leg of our trip. Something of a bitter sweet journey as I know it is the end of an age of travel. My eyes are getting to the stage that I am certain that this is the last time I will see most of my friends and relatives.   Sad in a way, but GLORIOUS in others. As the day of CHRIST'S return becomes closer each day our next reunion will be beyond the pearly gates where sickness, pain and sorrow do NOT exist and only the Powers of GOD control our well-being forever. "What a day that will be,' when we are all together. Old friends and new brothers and sisters in CHRIST, risen by HIS BLOOD and the FAITH in His resurrection. We pray that you will be there with us. As the powers of this earth continue to destroy, only GOD can deliver us a new creature, whole and complete, whiter than snow.  God bless you.

August 24 As I was going to visit a friend on the trip, I drove through the city and the connecting city looking for the correct street to turn onto. After over an hour I decided that I should head to the next place of meeting and perhaps try again later at finding my friends rehab center. After following directions to the next meeting place, I found the exit, but that was about as far as it went. After circling the area for an hour and a half and other drivers were becoming inpatient with the slower moving out of towner, I decided to return to familiar territory! Those without GPS or high-tech phones know what I mean. Isn't it nice to KNOW that GOD has the directions and that when we do become off course, HE can calmly guide us back onto the correct route? The map is laid out, we don't need hi tech to follow the way, HE has put the map internally within us. HE is the LIGHT at the end of life's tunnel. When we are lost, HE looks for us, He is our SAVIOUR in a foreign land. GOD bless you.

August 24 What an eye opener this trip has been. I have seen groups of men gathered in cafes talking about GOD.  Construction workers not using profanity in public. Those in hospitals with a sincere longing for GOD. The devil must surely be feeling like he is losing a foot hold and is fighting to create misunderstanding, war and false information via 'artificial intelligence'. The farther satan goes the more those who KNOW their name is written in the BOOK of LIFE strive to pick one more soul from the eternal fire. But, 'we can do so much more'. Through us, 'the world may know' the GOD of creation. No longer will we hear the crude say, 'I got better' but proclaim, I was cured by the HAND of GOD! So, the world may know that ALL things come from above, but only the BLOOD of CHRIST has the POWER of SALVATION. May GOD bless you as we march forward with HIS mighty army..

August 23 Yesterday I  visited my uncle and his family, who is the remaining patriarch of the family. Although his worldly body may be deteriorating, he remains sharp. If there was any question about who was in a picture he knew! I stopped and visited a hunting family I met in the mountains, and although I missed Tony, I had a wonderful updating from Tammy.  I spoke to a heavenly acquaintance, who is on the transplant waiting list, but cares more for others than himself, while I was laying on the bed like a teenage girl, until both my hearing aid and phone batteries were dead. Then after a short charge called a favorite cousin just to 'catch up'.  Through it all I have concluded that even though the world may be contemplating suicide or trying to lose themselves in drugs or the bottle, I am witnessing HEAVEN on earth. And that enjoyment comes from simply doing what GOD made us to do, GLORIFIY HIS name.  We are all different and we each reach different people, but isn't that what it's about? A glimpse of what eternity is while here on earth. But the real HEAVEN is approaching and one by one we will ALL SEE GOD one day for either judgement or a reunion. May we each be ready. GOD bless you.
